The wet and dry filter system, the tank is 4’x2’x27” as you can see there are several compartments, the first compartment (anaerobic bacteria) is the wet part of the system being full of water at all times, at the moment it is half filled with ceramic noodles, about 30% of the water returning from the tanks passes through it and then overflows onto the drip plate in the second compartment (aerobic bacteria) which also receives the rest of the water returning from the tanks and then through the bio balls, this compartment is about 2/3 full of bio ball with more to be added shortly. The pump used to return water to the tanks is a Onga 12600 l/h all the water from the pump first passes through 2 x 36 watt uv’s before it returns to the tanks, the protein skimmer is a queens 3000 operated by a 2500 l/h pump and is ozone injected by a aqua medic ozone 200, the whole system is kept cool by a aqua medic titan 2000 chiller.
